Conference

One of the foundation stones of Rovers in NSW is our ability to govern the way our section runs. Each year on the first weekend of April, the Branch Rover Council holds the annual NSW Rover Conference and Annual General Meeting.

Rovers from all over NSW are welcome to participate in the Conference.

At the conference, the rovers participate in training workshops, hear updates on where major initiatives are up to, decide upon the policies and guidelines that NSW Rovers operate on, they also decide on any new initatives that the Branch wishes to undertake.

The conference also includes a night out in the city or town where the conference is being held. This give the Rovers a chance to interact in a social environment and enjoy an evening out in true Rover fashion.

The Branch Rover Council AGM is held at the conclusion of the conference. At the AGM, the BRC Executive is chosen for the coming year and the Conference outcomes are voted on and accepted.

The Conference and AGM is held in a different location each year, it moves around the outskirts of the Sydney basin to give as many Rovers as possible a chance to attend.

The Conference is organised by the BRC Executive. The facilitation of the conference is tendered out to Crews, Regions or a group of interested peopel who look after the location, meals and administration allowing the Executive to concentrate on the Conference itself. Below is a list of previous Conferences.
